Our schools are just opening...our power just returning...some lives just rebuilding...
On the Right Trackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13818750157539370596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27818588.post-51995447461076217702012-11-13T19:43:38.198-06:002012-11-13T19:43:38.198-06:00I think this is a great story about perspective. ...I think this is a great story about perspective. It's OK to take running seriously, but when compared to people not having a home - you kind of realize what's really important. I think they were hopeful things would be returning to normal because, of course, Manhattan was getting back on its feet but the rest of the city was still in the dark.

I'd look closely at the waiver signed to see if there are any refunds. Usually, there isn't. And deferments would just mean a big mess next year, wouldn't it? Unfortunately, you take a big risk entering a marathon during hurricane season.Annehttp://run-dmz.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27818588.post-41963130387184901522012-11-12T13:59:36.873-06:002012-11-12T13:59:36.873-06:00Even though I wasn't running the NY Marathon.....Even though I wasn't running the NY Marathon...I agree that it should have been called off a lot earlier than it was. That way people could have cancelled their reservations a lot earlier.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15781874187660039234noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27818588.post-37621470526517656262012-11-12T12:38:07.333-06:002012-11-12T12:38:07.333-06:00I have to say I feel the exact same way about the ...I have to say I feel the exact same way about the cancellation. Bloomberg should have called it off at least by Wed evening. I had a friend fly out Fri morning with his family. Had it been cancelled before he left, he could have driving to Indianapolis to run his marathon there. Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06985720668734704976noreply@blogger.com
