~ John "The Penguin" Bingham
I love this quote, it's one of my favorites. Today I had to muster up a different kind of courage...the courage to realize when it's smarter to not start at all. The courage to throw in the towel. Cry uncle. Surrender.
On Saturday, around 7:15 pm, I decided not to run the Houston Marathon. More on the details leading up to that decision later. For now, I just wanted to give everyone a heads up. Sorry for not posting this earlier, but even without the marathon, it was difficult to get to my computer to post (that happens with 2 kiddos, lol)!!!

I have had to DNS a few races, it's always hard and always the right choice.
i am 100% struggling with this exact thing. i am lost and just don't know what to do about my race at the end of this month versus the race i have in february. i am afraid to DNS but i am more fearful to injure myself further.
you are strong, smart and courageous and i am positive you made the right choice.
I know you made the right decision. Have a beautiful day!
I realize it must be hard, but sometimes discretion is the better part of valor. There will be other races, and hopefully you will be ready for those!
I was thinking of you Sunday, wondering if you would run. I can imagine how difficult this decision was for you to make. Bur sugar, sounds like the right one for you. Get healthy, get stronger and get ready, cause I'm gonna hug your neck in Galveston!!!
whatever the reasons, you made the right choice. there are always more runs!
So sorry to hear that, but it definitely sounds like the right decision... look forward to hearing more!
