Yo

Well, I'm off to Tiger-land in an hour.

With the back issues, I am not prepared to run the Koala Houston Half this weekend. So what's the next best thing? Volunteering! I'll be at the mile 8 marker with another fellow Strider calling splits. Afterwards, I'll help out with chip removal or assist wherever I'm needed. I hope to see a lot of my fellow Striders, Fitters and bloggers out there. I'll be cheering for ya!

Sorry the back problems will keep you from running the HM this weekend, but it sounds like you are making a good choice in skipping.

Bonnie and I will be doing a 15K in Tulsa that is supposed to be a great race, there may be as many as 15,000 running this thing, could be wild in fact!!

Cool! I'll be expecting a BIG "Go Holden!" and a high 5 as I cruise on by...

Or, "Holden! you slacker, pick up the pace!!!"

Either one would do.

It'll give me something to look forward to.

It's just like old times. About the time I'm about to pass out, there's Christy there to give me some encouragement. Do me a favor. Lie about my splits. Tell me I'm on 11 minute pace or something.

Can't wait to see you.

Hey- thanks for the shout out! The funny thing is at first I was like "who just yelled for me??" b/c the only other times we have seen each other is post race when we are in running clothes and all sweaty! LOL! You were all cute and clean and I almost didn't realize who it was!

It was great to see you out there! It is always nice to see friendly faces out there on the course. Thanks for taking off my chip! Hope the back feels better soon.
