Me, a morning person???

I'm getting better and better at the morning run thing. A few months ago, if you would have told me I would be waking up at 5 am to workout, I would have scoffed or laughed. But, with the increased craziness in my schedule thanks to school, I am finding that a pre-work run is exactly what I need - 1) it helps me really wake up in the morning, 2) it gives me more time with the hubby & kiddo in the evenings, 3) after the kiddo is asleep, I can read my oh so interesting text books or blog and 4) it means I start the day in the negative with WW points!

Tuesday
Tuesday morning I ran 35 minutes at an easy 11 minute pace on the treadmill. There wasn't much on TV, but I managed to switch between the news and MTV to preoccupy myself.

Wednesday
Wednesday is my running "rest" day. I woke up at 5am to get some reading for my accounting class done. After work, the kiddo and I took a stroll around the neighborhood park and just enjoyed the nice weather. We stomped our feet on crunchy leaves and found golf balls from the driving range next to the park. The kiddo told me "I like goff balls mommy"...who knows, maybe she'll end up being a golfer someday! After the kiddo was in bed, I did the core exercises from "The Ab Diet Workout" minus the lunges and squats...my right knee bothers me every time I do those, so I'd rather be overly cautious until after my marathon. Then, it was another hour of reading accounting and organizational behavior...oh joy!

So thats the past 2 days in review...

Run long & Livestrong!

I MUST run in the mornings. When I put it off until the afternoon, there's about a 50% chance life won't cooperate and I end up skipping it. Guess I need a treadmill for the house. Can I borrow $5000 for the one I want? :)
