4:50

That's what time I set my alarm clock for, but it's not the time I actually woke up. Now that the marathon is over, I've had some difficulty getting up early to run. (Can we say dwindling motivation???) I've still managed to squeeze in some runs, but they haven't been taking place in the early morning hours. Last night, I decided that I would make myself run in the morning when the hubby's schedule allowed for it. It's tough to wake up, but it's great to 1) start in the negative with the calories and 2) know I don't have to do it later.

Today on the schedule - 35 minutes easy. I ran 35 minutes on the treadmill, watching the news and flipping through stations. There's not much on TV at that hour...Saved by the Bell, Angel, The Wiggles, Joyce Meyers and plenty of infomercials. I thought I was using my "faster" easy pace, but it took me the entire 35 minutes and some change to finish 3 miles! What's up with that?

Tonight, I have to meet up with my group from my OB class to work on our presentation. I hate days like today, because the kiddo was still asleep when I left for work and she will be ready to go to sleep when I pick her up from my parent's house tonight. But, only 33 days until the semester is over...hallelujah!!!

I am still trying to decide what to do about my run this weekend. I have a long awaited "Girl's Night Out" on Friday, so running on Saturday morning isn't likely. Plus the hubby has a fishing tournament, so I would have to spend the night at my parents if I want to run Saturday. I've considered running the 25K - just because I can. :-) But, if we start at 7am, chances are I won't be done until 10am. That's a bit later than I want to finish and interferes with my plans to take the kiddo to the zoo later. So, that leaves another boring long run alone on Sunday...grrrr!

Sometimes I am so amazed at how difficult it is to squeeze running into our schedules! You are doing it though! Great job!

I have a solution. Just come out and do the 25K in 2 hours. You'll be done by 9 and looking at the giraffes by 10.
