Perspective

I let out huge sigh this morning when the pantyhose I wanted to wear to work had a huge hole in the leg. (Yes, some of us still wear hose from time to time).

"Awww Man!", I said.

"What's wrong?", asked the kiddo.

I just smiled and told her it was no biggie, Mommy had better find something else to wear. I'd hate to let her think something so minor was something to get dramatic about. In the grand scheme of things, this sort of thing is no biggie. However, when you're having one of those mornings, it seems huge. I was about to be reminded where the hole in the hosiery fit into the grand scheme of things.

I left the house using the same route I use every morning.

Right turn off my street.

Left turn onto big street.

BAM!

I got t-boned. It was my fault. There was a Metro bus sitting at the bus stop. I thought I had taken a good look beyond it, before I made my turn....apparently not. I was lucky that neither of us were injured. Our vehicles weren't so lucky. Mine is in the shop as I type this and a shiny rental car is in my driveway. I'm not so sure about the other guy. Even though I was at fault, he was the one getting tickets - no license, no insurance, who knows what else. He was even borrowing the car from a friend, so I am sure he's in hot water with that person. I feel really bad about the whole thing. Of course, my insurance is going to LOVE me. Big time. But, I have to admit...it kinda puts things into perspective.

I'm feeling a bit sore, so no running for me today. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Yikes! Problems from accidents usually manifest itself a few days later. Hope everything is fine.

Oh, no! That totally sucks! Talk about a way to start a week. I hope that was all your bad luck for the month and everything else will go well for you.

At least you weren't hurt. Small blessings. Do schedule a massage anyway, though. Things that don't feel sore now might tomorrow.

Since the second event far outweighs the issues of the pantyhose, I won't even comment on the first....I'm just glad that no one was hurt. Make good notes about the incident though so you don't end up paying for more than you should.
The soreness could just be from the stress of the day and a good run could be the key.

Oh, gosh!! Hope you're ok. Are you sore from the wreck or ripping the pantyhose? Glad you're ok.

Glad you are not hurt. I'm sorry about your car, but you just have to think "its only a car".

Btw, I am always amazed at how you manage to do everything. Kiddo and hubby, work, school and running...and everything else in between!
