What's Next???

I'm officially registered...

for the half! Plans to attend the cousin's wedding in Alabama changed thanks to my school schedule. So, to salvage the weekend somewhat, we're heading to Austin after school on Saturday and I will be running on Sunday. I ran the full last year, so I'm really looking forward to checking out the new course. Since it's supposed to be hillier than previous years, I am not looking to PR. Instead, I just want to have a fun run and enjoy Austin! Umm...I wouldn't mind if it were about 10 degrees warmer than last year (it was 26 at the start)...oh and no messy drizzle either. :-)

Of course before Austin there will be more training runs to do. I will be testing out the new Garmin on Sunday morning when I finally get to run outdoors again. Yiiippeeee!

I remember some friend of mine saying there was a bunch of ice at Austin and that people were sprawled out all over the ground trying to get to the start. Was that last year?

Have a great day!

Yep Vic, that was last year. I saw 2 folks take a pretty bad fall, but they both got up and started running again. That's a runner for ya - TOUGH! There were still ice on the fountain in front of the capitol as I ran by almost 5 hours later. Brrr....

I'm doing the full this year in Austin! I hope it's not cold, because I don't own a pair of Man Tights!
